STRATEGIC SERVICE TEAMS... At sovG, we believe one of the best ways to connect and grow is to serve others. We encourage you to get involved in an area of service. Whether you have a desire to serve within our church community, in your local community or a community half way around the world, we have an opportunity for you to get involved.

Our Church--It takes a lot of volunteers to make sovG work properly! Whether you work with students or with the AV team, we have an opportunity for you.  Specific areas of church service (no pun intended here) include: weekly cleaning & set up, greeting, infant care, children's program, youth program, teachers, administration, web support, and small group leaders....just to name a few!  Contact us if there is an area you might want to get involved in!

Our Community--As a part of the landscape of the North Shore, we want to be more than just another building. We want to move out from our walls and into the streets and serve the greater needs of our communities. Through our GROUPS ministry, we have created Project Intersect as our vehicle to serve the North Shore. Our World--The world is huge - approximately 6.6 billion people, 200 countries and 10000+ people groups. The problem is simple. Satan has blocked the truth from roughly 90% of the world's population. We have been invited by Jesus Christ to play a small role in His story by revealing the truth about what it means to have a personal relationship with Him. We want to help people in other nations into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.  While there are a number of excellent missions organizations, Sovereign Grace has specifically partnered with Partners in Development (www.pidonline.org) and Global X (www.goglobalx.org) and encourages our members and attendees to partner with them when possible.

To date, under the leadership of Craig Gabel, we have been leading a team to Haiti every summer.  Team members do manual labor, work with children or use medical skills to help where they are best suited.  Contact Craig for more information.

Current Openings--The following areas are places we'd love to have you check out and if the fit is good, jump right in!

1. Facilities Cleaning--Instead of hiring out our cleaning, we take care of our needs together as a family.  We've divided the weekly needs of the church into four easy lists of cleaning responsibilities.  You can sign up in the mail foyer of the church.
2. Children's Ministry--If you are gifted and called, we'd love to talk to you about joining the teaching rotation helping with either our 2 year old through Kindergarten program, OR help us start out 1st through 6th grade program.
3. Small Group Leader--If you are a gifted facilitator of conversation and love the Word of God, we'd like to have you consider leading a small group for us.
4. Worship Team--The Worship Team is always looking for gifted musicians to try out and see if you'd be a good fit with our team.
5. Artists--We like to incorporate the creation of art work, live, during our worship services.  If you are an artist, we'd like to talk to you.
6. Seminary and College Interns- We take seriously the responsibility of partnering with and training the next generation of Christian leaders.  If you are in college or Seminary and are looking for an internship or mentored ministry, we would love to talk with you about this!  Contact Michael directly.
